Team Jack Foundation collaborates with the Nebraska State Legislature and advocates for funding to create a childhood brain tumor program in Omaha.

State of Nebraska commits $1.5 million to the University of Nebraska Medical Center to be matched by a private foundation for the creation of a childhood brain tumor program. Team Jack agrees to be private match for $1.5 million. This appropriation includes the hiring of a pediatric neuro-oncologist.

Team Jack Foundation announces an additional $5 million pledge to UNMC and Children's Hospital & Medical Center as part of their POWER5 Childhood Brain Tumor Initiative.

Team Jack receives first donation of $500,000 to POWER5 Childhood Brain Tumor Initiative in Omaha from a private donor.
